<processing_method>The data sets collated in the first 12 worksheets comprise the BER measurements of the experiment reported in the associated papers, along with selected optical spectra. Each data point is reported as a mean and a peak to peak range, obtained from 5 individual oscilloscope captures using the signal processing software described in reference 41. Each worksheet shows the same information for a different configuration of the number of superchannels (or conventional channels). Worksheet titles indicate the centre of the band who's measurement results are reported (transmitter optimised for this band) and the number of superchannels used. The first spreadsheet (193T WDM) uses a single sub-channel in place of the 400 Gbit/s super-channels. An additional worksheet reports the Raman OTDR measurement data The worksheets show, to the left of the solid blocked out column - performance without OPC, and to the right - performance with OPC. Presented results are (from top to bottom); A power sweep at the estimated transmission reach used to optimise the launch power, a measurement of the central superchannel as a function of transmission distance, and a measurement of the performance of each superchannel at the maximum reach where all superchannels were found to be operating below the FEC threshold. In addition, typical optical spectra at two transmission reaches are reported. Note, for a given worksheet results with OPC are of course frequency shifted from the without-OPC results.</processing_method>
