Perception of concurrent sentences: Within and across-formant grouping in harmonic and frequency-shifted speech

The contents comprise example stimuli and listeners’ keyword scores for the Experiment reported in the article of the same title (Roberts, Holmes, and Darwin, 2026; Journal of the Acoustical Society of America).

The zip file contains example stimuli - four sentences with almost continuous voicing manipulated in the ways described in the main article. Also included is a "ReadMe" document (pdf) explaining how to identify the properties of these stimuli from their filenames.

There are also two spreadsheets, one containing the results for target-track scoring and the other for either-track scoring (see main article). Each spreadsheet contains three worksheets, one for the 90-Hz target F0, one for the 160-Hz target F0, and one for both target F0s combined. Each spreadsheet contains the keyword scores (number correct and % correct) for each listener for each combination of factors tested. Descriptive statistics (mean scores, mean % scores, mean difference scores, standard deviations, and standard errors of the mean) are also included.
