A re-examination of duplex perception with musical chords

These datasets comprise listeners’ mode identification and tone discrimination scores in Experiments 1 and 2 of the article of the same title (Roberts, 2025; Journal of the Acoustical Society of America).

For each experiment, there is one spreadsheet containing one worksheet. Each spreadsheet contains scores (out of 20) for each listener in each task, separately for major and major chord stimuli and combined. Descriptive statistics (mean score, mean % score, standard deviation, and standard error of the mean) are also included.
