Data Collection and Processing Methods: This dataset supports task-based analysis of digital literacy frameworks by mapping abstract digital competencies to concrete mobile application tasks and documenting associated usability outcomes. The dataset includes: Mappings between mobile banking and shopping tasks and Digital Literacy Global Framework (DLGF) competency areas; Quantitative usability performance metrics for banking and shopping application tasks, based on error occurrence, task completion rates, number of taps, and time elapsed; and Supporting tables used to evaluate alignment between policy-defined digital competencies and real user interaction demands. Participants include functionally illiterate (FXI) and literate adult users in Nigeria, screened using the DIBELS8 Maze assessment. The dataset is intended to support reuse in research on digital literacy frameworks, usability evaluation, inclusive interface design, and digital governance, particularly in low-literacy and Global South contexts.
